OIGA Surcharge

The 2003 legislature passed a new law that eliminated the tax offsets for Property and Casualty insurers in Oregon. In place of the tax offsets insurers were allowed to surcharge their policyholders. New Administrative Rules were put in place in May 2004. Most companies recouped their assessments between April 1, 2004, and March 31, 2005.

The following are links to information regarding the OIGA Surcharge.
